4-H Sportsman Club Scholarship Application

 

It is the intent of the Brazos County 4-H Sportsman Club to award up to 5, $500 college scholarships to eligible graduating seniors.  The program is funded from profits earned at the annual Brazos County Shoot.

 

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the scholarship, the club member must meet ALL of the following:

 

 

If you meet ALL of the above, please complete this application and submit along with a picture of the applicant to the club manager by June 20,2008  (A postmark date will be utilized if mailed to determine the date of submission.) No late applications will be accepted.  The application must be neatly printed or typed.

Selection Committee:

 

Annually a committee of 4-H adult leaders will be selected to review the applications and select up to 5 awards based on the completeness of the application and information submitted.  The committee will review data submitted for up to 3 years preceding the award.  (For 2007 awards – 1 year, 2008 awards – 2 years, 2009 and beyond – 3 years.)  The committee members will not have a child / club member as a graduating senior. 

 

Payment:

 

If awarded, payments will be made on a reimbursement basis only.  The scholarship winner must submit a copy of a paid invoice to the club manager.  These invoices are to be net of any other scholarships and can be for tuition, books or fees.  Food and lodging will not be eligible.  Receipts must be for the fall and/or spring semesters immediately following the award.
